Peak FreQuency Presents: Sounding Time / Cosmic Sounding The music of Jon Forshee interweaves exuberant energies, progressive harmonies and expansive conceptions of musical time to create immersive sonic worlds. In “Sounding Time / Cosmic Sounding” Forshee charts deeper adventures in speculative instrumental music through four thrilling, colorful new works written in collaboration with the virtuosic music faculty of the UCCS Music Department. Combining acoustic and digital instruments, and utilizing the exceptional performance spaces of the Shockley-Zalabak Theater, the unique works heard this evening are curated together in a single vision of life as a great surprise full of wonders yet to be heard.
